Indication
Short-term treatment of upper & lower resp tract, skin & soft tissue, GUT infections. Tab & oral susp Dental infections
Instruction
457 mg/5 mL oral susp Mild to moderate infections 7-12 yr (22-40 kg) 5 mL bd, 2-6 yr (13-21 kg) 2.5 mL bd. Severe infections 7-12 yr 10 mL bd, 2-6 yr (13-21 kg) 5 mL bd.
Drug interaction
Decreased renal tubular secretion by probenecid. Increased likelihood of allergic skin reactions w/ allopurinol. Lowered oestrogen reabsorption & reduced efficacy of combined OCs. Increased INR w/ acenocoumarol or warfarin. Reduced pre-dose conc of mycophenolic acid.
