HIOKI MR8870 Memory HiCorder
Oscilloscope-like Waveform Observation, Plus Recording of RMS Variations - In a Single Device
Hioki Memory HiCorders are high-speed waveform monitoring and recording devices that can simultaneously measure multiple quick-changing phenomena due to complete isolation between channels and from each channel to the ground. The MR8870 is a handheld data acquisition (DAQ) recorder built in with 2 analog channels and 2MW of memory, suitable for elevator maintenance, machine, motor and inverter fault analysis, testing and inspections.
Key Features
- Mode for recording instantaneous waveform and RMS fluctuations
- Save values in real time to a CF card
- Record four channels at once by synchronizing two instruments with the bundled PC application
- Compact and easy to carry
- Fast, 1MS/s performance despite the compact size
- Built-in, compact-yet-sharp QVGA-TFT wide LCD
Note: Input cords and battery pack are not included. Purchase the cords appropriate for your application separately. The AC Adapter Z1005 is included as standard.
Features
Record Motor Rush Current
Precisely record motor power-on inrush current waveforms when paired with the 9018-50 Clamp On Probe or 3283 Clamp On Leak HiTester. Measure direct current waveforms with a variety of AC/DC current sensors.
Measure CB Timing
Analyze the relationships of multi-point logic signals and analog waveforms to detect timing issues that can affect power supply circuit breakers. Use logic probes to record relay operations on up to four channels, or use the Differential Probe P9000 for three-phase 440 v power line measurements and for support of CAT III 600 V measurement categories.
Analyze Sequence Controller Issues
When sequence controllers being used in processes such as production and testing lines stop due to errors or generate warning output, potential causes include momentary AC power interruptions and brownouts. The MR8870 is ideal for analyzing the operation of such systems since it can record the correlation of sequence relay signals, AC power circuits, and DC voltage circuits as waveforms using power supply anomalies as a trigger.
