Standard applications

• The pickling residuals, when rinsed off, exhibit acidity, and the resulting wastewater contains heavy metals, primarily chromium and nickel, dissolved from the steel. As a result, it is imperative to neutralize this wastewater. Avesta Neutraliser 502 provides a straightforward method for treating this wastewater by neutralizing its acidity and precipitating the heavy metals. These heavy metals form a sludge that can be separated from the now neutralized clear water. The clear water can be reused in the process, released into the sewage system, or subjected to further treatment, depending on local requirements. The sludge should be handled as heavy metal waste and disposed of accordingly.

2. Adjusts the wastewater to a pH value of 7-10 before discharge.

Packaging

Avesta Neutraliser 502 is available in 32kg and 1010kg IBC polyethylene packages. Package sizes may vary depending on the market.

Storage

For proper storage, Avesta Neutraliser 502 should be kept indoors at room temperature. Ensure that containers are securely closed, in an upright position, and inaccessible to unauthorized persons. The lid should always be on when the product is not in use.

Waste treatment

Empty containers made of HDPE must be cleaned and can then be recycled in compliance with local regulations.
