Double-row tapered roller bearings have a double row of conical rollers between the inner and outer rings. The raceways are tapered in shape. These versatile bearings can handle heavier combined loads than single-row tapered roller bearings. The cone assembly consists of the inner ring with a double cage and roller set, while the cup is the outer ring. Double-row tapered roller bearings have a high radial load capacity, and unlike single-row tapered roller bearings, they can withstand axial loads in both directions. The larger the contact angle, the greater the axial load capacity.
