Pneumatic indexing tables use pneumatic power to rotate objects in a wide variety of applications. They can start and stop the object at precise angular intervals.
Applications
These devices are used to move light to medium-weight loads, such as positioning electrical components during PCB assembly. They also are used in CNC milling machines for light-duty operations.
Technologies
Compressed air rotates the table via a rack and pinion drive. Either an internal or external control valve is used to start and stop the table.
How to choose
Choice will depend on the maximum weight of the parts to be handled. Other specifications to take into consideration are the table's diameter, its concentricity and the indexing accuracy.
