This shielding gas mixture is suitable for TIG welding of all grades of stainless steel (10mm or more) that allows higher welding speeds and better penetration. This gas is used for manual and semi-automatic MIG and TIG welding of titanium, aluminium and copper alloys. It produces a more fluid weld pool and so tends to be used on thicker components (up to 10mm or more for MIG and up to 9mm for TIG). Fusion and penetration are excellent and little or no preheating is required when welding copper.
