HYTRIN 5mg Tablets contain 5 mg of terazosin hydrochloride, which is an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker. Terazosin helps relax the veins and arteries so that blood can more easily pass through them. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to improve urination in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which is an enlarged prostate.
Indications:

• Hypertension: Treatment of high blood pressure.
• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Improvement of urination in men with BPH.

1. Administration: Take orally, as directed by your doctor.
2. Dosage: Follow your doctor's prescription. The usual starting dose is 1 mg, taken once daily, with a gradual increase to 5 mg or higher if needed.
3. Timing: Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.
