Each extended-release tablet contains:
-Paliperidone: 6 mg
Indications:
-Schizophrenia: Used for the acute and maintenance treatment of schizophrenia.
-Schizoaffective Disorder: Used for the acute treatment of schizoaffective disorder as monotherapy or as an adjunct to mood stabilizers and/or antidepressants.
Instructions:
Dosage:
-For schizophrenia: The recommended starting dose is 6 mg once daily, which can be adjusted within the range of 3 to 12 mg once daily based on clinical assessment.
-For schizoaffective disorder: The recommended starting dose is 6 mg once daily, which can be adjusted within the range of 3 to 12 mg once daily based on clinical assessment.
Administration:
-Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew, divide, or crush the tablet.
-It can be taken with or without food.
-Patients may notice a tablet-shaped shell in their stool, which is normal.
