Indication
Monotherapy or add-on combination therapy w/ other glucose-lowering drugs for type 2 DM when diet & exercise alone is inadequate.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole.
Drug interaction
Increased risk of dehydration & hypotension w/ thiazide & loop diuretics. Increased risk of hypoglycemia w/ insulin & insulin secretagogues eg, sulphonylureas.
