Vortioxetine
Indication
Brintellix is indicated for the treatment of major depressive episodes in adults.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food.
Drug interaction
Irreversible nonselective MAOIs. Reversible & selective MAO-A inhibitor eg, moclobemide. Reversible & nonselective MAOI eg, linezolid. Irreversible, selective MAO-B inihibitor eg, selegiline, rasagiline. Serotonergic drugs. St. John's wort. Higher incidence of adverse reactions w/ bupropion. Decreased AUC w/ rifampicin. Increased risk of bleeding by oral anticoagulants or antiplatelets. Enhanced effects w/ lithium or tryptophan.
