Abacavir sulfate
Indication
Antiretroviral combination therapy for HIV in adult & childn.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food. Tab Adult, adolescent & childn from 3 mth at least 25 kg 300 mg bd or 600 mg once daily. Childn ≥20 kg to <25 kg ½ tab in the morning & 1 tab in the evening, 14 to <20 kg ½ tab bd.
Drug interaction
Increased AUC by ethanol. Reduced Cmax & delayed tmax w/ methadone.
