NEWGAS gas regulators are manufactured from the highest quality materials and machined almost entirely automatically to fine limits in our factory. Observing the correct and proper use, they will give reliable and trouble-free service.
Operating Guide
1. Place gas cylinder in the up-right position and Purge each cylinder. "PURGE" is to quickly open and close the cylinder valve, allowing gas to escape momentarily and clear the valve from any foreign material.
Caution : If oil or grease is found on valve or any part of the gas cylinder, contact your gas supplier immediately. DO NOT use oily gas cylinder. Gas cylinder MUST be always oil free.
2. Attach gas regulator to cylinder valve. Ensure the correct regulator is fitted on the correct gas cylinder. A wrench MUST be used to tighten connection. (Note : Fuel gas connections are left hand threads. Oxygen and invert gas connections are right hand threads)
3. The fitted gas regulator control knob should be turned Anti-clockwise to relieve pressure on the diaphragm before opening the cylinder valve.
(Note : Sudden surge of pressure can damage gas regulator)
4. Open cylinder valve slowly (Anti-clockwise direction). Check gas cylinder valve to regulator connections for leaks, use 5% treepol in water. DO NOT use leaky gas regulator.
5. Connect hose connection to gas regulator outlet. Set required working pressure by turning the gas regulator control knob in the Clockwise direction.
6. While gas cylinder not in use, always shut off the cylinder valve and to relieve pressure on diaphgram by turning the gas regulator control knob in the Anti-Clockwise direction.
