Blended from eaux-de-vie of up to more than 40 years of age, Martell Single Cru XO Grande Champagne offers an exceptional organoleptic experience, attaining a perfect balance between power and fruitiness.
Golden copper with brilliant highlights.
The expressive first nose reveals gourmet notes of acacia honey and dried or candied fruit, such as apricot and fig, with a delicate hint of dried flowers. When the cognac is swirled in the glass, it produces a sensation of elegance and finesse, as well as power, with notes of soft spices and fruit. Particularly notable are its smooth overtones of red fruit liqueur, dried fruit, sandalwood and mild tobacco.
The attack is harmonious and structured with notes of fresh fruit (cherry), dried and candied fruit (persimmon) and spices, which linger into a remarkably long finish.
To create Single Cru XO Grande Champagne, Maison Martell Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud made a precise selection of eaux-de-vie which not only express the essence of the terroir, but are also remarkable for their age.
