AXCEL Cefuroxime-125 for Oral Suspension (125mg/5ml) contains the following active ingredient:

• Cefuroxime: 125 mg per 5 ml

• Upper respiratory tract infections: Such as ear, nose, and throat infections (e.g., middle ear inflammation, sinusitis, tonsillitis, sore throat).
• Lower respiratory tract infections: Such as lung infections and bronchial tube inflammation.
• Genito-urinary tract infections: Such as kidney infections, bladder inflammation, and urethritis.
• Gonorrhoea: Acute uncomplicated gonococcal urethritis and inflammation of the uterine cervix.
• Skin and soft tissue infections: Such as boils, skin infections with pus formation, and impetigo.

• Dosage: Follow the dosage prescribed by your doctor. The typical dose is 5 ml (125 mg) taken twice daily.
• Administration: Shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the prescribed dose using the provided measuring device. Take the suspension by mouth, with or without food2.
• Duration: Complete the full course of treatment even if you start to feel better. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse or worsening of the infection.
• Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, especially to cephalosporins or penicillins, or if you have kidney disease. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.
