Indication:
Irinotecan Injection is used to treat advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer. It is often used in combination with other medications like 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and leucovorin (LV).
Instructions:
- Reconstitution: Dilute with 5% Dextrose Injection or 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection before use.
- Administration: Administer as a 90-minute intravenous infusion.
- Storage: Store below 25°C for not more than 24 hours after reconstitution.
- Precautions: Monitor for diarrhea and myelosuppression. Early diarrhea may be accompanied by cholinergic symptoms, which can be managed with atropine. Late diarrhea can be life-threatening and should be treated promptly with loperamide.
