Poltrona Frau has thoughtfully curated a boutique setting that not only displays their iconic furniture but also tells a story of heritage, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail. The two-story, 500-square-metre space was designed by AMDL CIRCLE, a multidisciplinary creative studio led by renowned Italian architect Michele De Lucchi. Every corner of the showroom is a visual delight, from the beautifully designed archways with metal finishes to the geometric wall elements in serene tones of sage green, steel blue, and rust. The atmosphere exudes sophistication, offering the perfect backdrop to showcase Poltrona Frau’s masterpieces.

The grand opening of Poltrona Frau’s first standalone store in Malaysia is located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Bangsar. This much-anticipated event was a feast for the senses, showcasing the brand’s dedication to Italian craftsmanship and cutting-edge design. Here’s a glimpse into my experience, exploring this incredible space filled with aesthetic wonders and unparalleled luxury.

Expertise in Woodworking
Poltrona Frau’s collaboration with Ceccotti Collezioni added another layer of excitement to the experience. The synergy between Poltrona Frau’s artisanal leather and Ceccotti Collezioni’s masterful woodworking was evident in every piece, showcasing a perfect balance of form and function. The extensive range of furniture, from iconic armchairs to contemporary sofas and home accessories is both modern and unique.

The Material Library
One of the most engaging parts of the showroom was the Material Library, designed like an haute couture atelier. This interactive space allowed guests to explore and experiment with different materials, from Pelle Frau® leather to exquisite wood finishes. As someone who appreciates tactile experiences, I found this feature particularly inspiring. It’s a space that invites creativity and encourages clients to imagine bespoke solutions for their living spaces.

Luxury in Every Corner
The grand opening wasn’t just about furniture—it was a full-fledged celebration of Poltrona Frau’s legacy and future. Guests were treated to an exclusive exhibition featuring a Ferrari, highlighting Poltrona Frau’s expertise in luxury car interiors. The intricate leatherwork in the vehicle showcased the same level of craftsmanship found in their furniture, offering a seamless connection between design and functionality.

Additionally, the event included insightful speeches from Nicola Coropulis, CEO of Poltrona Frau, and Yoong Low, General Manager of Stanzo Italia. Their passion for design and commitment to expanding Poltrona Frau’s presence in Southeast Asia was truly inspiring.

The display of Poltrona Frau’s products made from premium leather include handbags, pickleball paddles, mahjong sets, stationery cases, wallets and many more.

Beyond the visual and tactile delights, the event offered a sensory journey that extended to the overall ambience. The showroom's careful use of lighting enhanced the luxurious textures and finishes, while the subtle aroma of premium leather created an inviting atmosphere. It was an immersive experience that allowed guests to connect deeply with the brand's ethos.
