Why Haven’t I Gotten Pregnant Despite Ongoing Treatment?

Infertility – Case Sharing

When couples seek treatment for infertility, the focus often unconsciously falls on the wife. All the tests and treatments tend to revolve around her. But is that really how it should be? Absolutely not. Conception is a joint effort. Until proper medical evaluations are done, neither partner should bear the burden alone.

We've seen many cases where the wife is ready to begin herbal or medical treatment, only to find out after consultation and testing that the issue isn’t hers alone — or in some cases, not hers at all. Sometimes, due to a lack of understanding, both partners believe their sperm analysis results are normal, but upon closer inspection by a physician, the report turns out to be abnormal. (This is why we always ask patients to bring or send their reports for the doctor to personally review.)

Take these two cases, for example — both wives had been undergoing treatment for over five years without success. They were told the issue was solely theirs and were advised to try IVF. However, after visiting GuoYi Tang and reviewing the husband’s sperm analysis, it was found that the husband's sperm quality was below standard (see Image 3 and Image 4).

Can poor sperm quality be improved? Absolutely.
Images 1 and 2 show reports from the same patient. Before treatment, only 7% of his sperm were morphologically normal. After two months of treatment, that number increased to 85% — a remarkable improvement.

In summary, conception is a two-person job. If pregnancy is not happening, both partners should undergo proper evaluation. A scientific and rational treatment approach is what truly benefits the patient.
