On Saturday, 13th July, students and teachers of Reed International School joined the local community in Serendah for a gotong-royong project at Seven Wells Serendah hosted by MPKK Serendah.
The weather was perfect for outdoor gotong-royong. After a brief introduction by Ms Yoke Chan who helped organise this event, we broke-up into groups of 4 to 5 persons and started our gotong-royong.
At Reed, we not only focus on education in the classroom, but also practical and experiential learning outside of the classroom. This project gives students the opportunity to embrace values such as cooperation, teamwork and social responsibility in caring for our environment.
A big thank you to Ms Yoke Chan for helping us organise this event. A big thank you also to the MPKK community leaders and residents for your support.
