Chinese Calligraphy
Students of Reed International School participated in a Chinese Calligraphy activity. The activity was held in conjunction with this year's Chinese New Year celebration. Under the guidance of Ms Chow, the school's Mandarin teacher, the students learned the proper way to hold a calligraphy brush, how to create strokes and the correct way to tilt the brush using fingers and not the hands. Based on the techniques learned, the students then wrote Chinese characters related to Chinese New Year such as 福 (prosperity) 春 (spring) and 新年 (new year).
