Honda Malaysia Aims for 83,000 Sales in 2025, Targeting 10.6% Market Share

Honda Malaysia has set a sales target of 83,000 units for 2025. This was announced during a media event last Friday, where the company also shared plans to introduce three new models this year.

The 2025 sales target is based on Honda Malaysia’s strong performance in 2024, where it sold 81,600 units and held a 10% market share, making it the top-selling non-national car brand in the country. With this new goal, Honda expects its market share to increase to 10.6% in 2025.

The Honda HR-V, City, and CR-V were the brand’s best-selling models in 2024, contributing 26%, 25%, and 14% of total sales, respectively. The Honda CR-V stood out, with 11,300 units sold, making it the best-selling mid-size SUV in Malaysia last year.

Honda’s e:HEV hybrid models also performed well in 2024, accounting for almost 30% of all hybrid car sales in Malaysia. Currently, Honda offers hybrid options for all its models except the Honda WR-V and Civic Type R (FL5).

Looking ahead, Honda Malaysia is set to launch the e:N1 electric vehicle (EV) this year and has plans to introduce three more EVs by 2027. While the details of the other two EVs are still unknown, the Honda Zero Series concept cars might give some hints.
