Jetour Dashing launched in Malaysia – C-segment five-seat SUV, two 1.5T variants, priced from RM109,800

Jetour Auto Malaysia has officially launched the Jetour Dashing, almost a year after it was first shown here in May last year. It was originally planned for release in the second half of last year and then moved to Q1 this year, but it’s now available for sale in Malaysia.

The Dashing will first be sold as a fully-imported CBU model, but only for the first 100 units. The first units from China, which arrived last month, will be delivered right after the launch. After that, local assembly of the Dashing will start next month at Berjaya Assembly in Johor.

The C-segment five-seat SUV will be available in two variants: Comfort and Prime, replacing the earlier Prime and Signature versions presented last year. The Jetour Dashing 1.5 TCI Comfort is priced at RM109,800, while the Jetour Dashing 1.5 TCI Prime is priced at RM116,800.

To celebrate its launch, Jetour Auto Malaysia is offering a special limited-time promotion with a RM2,000 cash rebate for the first 500 customers. The Dashing comes with a seven-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, a 10-year/1,000,000 km engine warranty, and five free services for labour and parts.

The Jetour Dashing measures 4,590 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase. Other key details include a ground clearance of 160 mm and a boot capacity of 486 liters with the rear seats up, expanding to 977 liters with the seats folded.

In Malaysia, the Dashing is only available with one engine option: a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine producing 156 PS (154 hp) at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm and 4,000 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the SUV offers three drive modes: Economy, Comfort, and Sport.

For wheels, the base Comfort variant comes with 18-inch wheels and 235/60 tires, while the higher-spec Prime variant gets 19-inch wheels with 235/55 tires. The Dashing is available in five exterior colours: Carbon Black, Hematite Red, Khaki White, Phantom Grey, and Aurora Green.

Inside, the Dashing comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, both integrated into one widescreen display. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional standard features include automatic air conditioning with rear vents and a CN95 filter, a 50-watt wireless charging pad, four USB ports (two front Type-A, one rear Type-A, one rear Type-C), and a four-speaker audio system.

For safety, the base Comfort variant includes four airbags (driver/front passenger, front side), cruise control, a reverse camera, ABS, EBD, brake assist, ESC, traction control, a tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchors, overspeed warning, and four reverse sensors.

The Prime variant adds a panoramic sunroof, heated side mirrors with LED welcome lights, rain-sensing wipers, a four-way powered front passenger seat, ambient lighting, and a better sound system with six speakers. It also adds two more airbags (front/rear curtain) and driver assistance features like lane change warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a 360-degree camera system, but lacks autonomous emergency braking.
