Weekly Fuel Price Update: RON97 & Diesel Both Down 5 Sen!

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has released the latest update on fuel retail prices in Malaysia for the week spanning 10 to 16 April 2025. These updated prices will come into effect at midnight tonight and will remain valid until the next scheduled announcement on Wednesday, 16 April 2025.

As per the announcement, the price of RON95 petrol remains unchanged, continuing to hold at its government-set ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre. This ceiling was first introduced back in February 2021 and has since been maintained to ensure affordability for the public.

Meanwhile, the price of premium RON97 petrol sees a slight decrease. The rate has been reduced by 5 sen, bringing it down to RM3.28 per litre for the coming week. Diesel fuel also receives a price adjustment, with a 5 sen reduction applied across the board in Peninsular Malaysia. The updated retail price now stands at RM2.98 per litre for Euro 5 B10 and B20 blends, while Euro 5 B7 diesel is priced at RM3.18 per litre.

As for East Malaysia, the diesel prices remain unchanged. The current rate stays at RM2.15 per litre for Euro 5 B10/B20, and RM2.35 per litre for Euro 5 B7. These adjustments reflect the government's ongoing efforts to balance market trends with consumer affordability, and any further changes will be announced in the following week's fuel price update.
