JPJ Recalls 3,722 Units of Perodua Alza, Aruz, and Honda CB350RS.
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced a recall for 3,722 vehicles in Malaysia, which includes certain Perodua Alza and Aruz models, as well as Honda CB350RS motorcycles.
JPJ director-general Aedy Fadly Ramli explained that 2,518 units of the Perodua Alza 1500 X CVT, 1500 H CVT, and 1500 AV CVT are being recalled, along with 1,139 units of the Perodua Aruz 1500 X and 1500 AV. The reason for this recall is that the main headlights do not meet the proper height regulations.
Additionally, 65 units of the Honda CB350RS motorcycle are also affected. These motorcycles have been found to have issues with the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), traction control, and the wheel speed sensor. These problems can cause the speedometer to show the wrong speed.
Aedy said that any parts with these problems will be replaced for free, with the costs covered by Perodua Manufacturing Sdn Bhd and Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd. He also mentioned that Perodua and Boon Siew Honda will contact the owners of the affected vehicles to arrange inspection appointments. Owners can also visit their nearest service center for help.
Aedy encouraged all owners of the affected models to get ready for their inspection to make the process smoother. For more details, vehicle owners can call Perodua at 1-800-88-6600 or contact Honda at 1-800-88-3993.
