A Wellness Revolution at IWE 2024
Held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (“MITEC”) from 27–29 November, the inaugural International Wellness Expo 2024 brought together 64 global wellness enablers from 12 countries. Featuring 86 exhibition booths, 30 expert-led talks, and free wellness consultations, the expo attracted wellness enthusiasts, industry leaders, and the general public alike.
Themed “Connecting Sustainable Wellness Solutions,” IWE 2024 focused on preventive care, innovative diagnostics, and transformative medical treatments. Highlights included keynote speeches, workshops, and free Traditional Chinese Medicine (“TCM”) services such as acupuncture and health assessments. Visitors also enjoyed interactive sessions like laughter yoga and belly dancing, emphasising holistic wellbeing.
Datin Dorph Peng, Managing Director of Green Wellness Sdn. Bhd., emphasised the shift towards preventive care in her opening remarks. "This platform not only showcases groundbreaking technologies but also unites industry leaders to drive meaningful change in the wellness landscape," she said.
LactoDay: A Revolutionary Step for Gut Health
As part of the International Wellness Expo, Glowith Global Sdn. Bhd. unveiled LactoDay, a premium probiotic that is not only Halal-certified but also tailored to the unique needs of men, women, and children. Glowith Global’s CEO, Steve Wong, highlighted Malaysia’s high rates of digestive issues, underscoring the urgent need for effective gut health solutions.
"We aim to create products that not only improve health but also leave a positive impact on society," Wong stated at the launch event. The brand further demonstrated its commitment to the community by donating RM 5,000 to Pertubuhan Amal & Kemanusiaan Selangor during the event.

The launch of LactoDay and the success of IWE 2024 both underscore Malaysia’s growing role as a wellness hub in ASEAN. With IWE 2024 providing a platform for cutting-edge innovations and LactoDay addressing the specific needs of Muslim consumers, these initiatives reflect a shared vision of sustainable, inclusive health solutions.
