Najib's 'royal addendum' appeal: Crowd builds outside Palace of Justice (live updates)

PETALING JAYA: The Court of Appeal will sit today to hear Datuk Seri Najib Razak's appeal against the dismissal of his bid to serve the remainder of his six-year prison sentence under house arrest, based on his claim that a royal addendum to his royal pardon exists.

The hearing, originally scheduled for Dec 5, 2024, will commence at 9am before a three-member bench comprising Justices Azizah Nawawi, Azhahari Kamal Ramli and Mohd Firuz Jaffril.

Meanwhile, a solidarity gathering has been planned outside the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya to show support for Najib's bid. However, the police have warned that action will be taken against those who take part in the rally.
