Latest Petrol & Diesel Prices: April 17–23, 2025

It’s Wednesday again, which means it’s time for the latest fuel price update for Malaysia. The Ministry of Finance has just released the official retail fuel prices that will be in effect for the upcoming week, from April 17 to April 23, 2025.

This week brings another round of good news for drivers, especially those using premium petrol and diesel. The price of RON 97 petrol has seen a reduction of 10 sen per litre, now priced at RM3.18 per litre, compared to RM3.28 per litre last week. Meanwhile, the price of RON 95 petrol remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre, which is the government’s set ceiling price since February 2021.

As for diesel fuel in Peninsular Malaysia, there’s also a 10 sen drop per litre for Euro 5 B10 and B20 grades, bringing the new price to RM2.88 per litre. The Euro 5 B7 diesel, which carries a 20 sen premium over the other grades, will be priced at RM3.08 per litre this week.

However, in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan, the price of diesel fuel stays the same at RM2.15 per litre, with no changes made this week.

These updated fuel prices will come into effect starting midnight tonight and will remain in place until the next revision on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. This marks the 16th weekly fuel price update for the year and the 327th overall since Malaysia implemented the floating fuel price mechanism back in early 2019.
