It's not the way Alex wants to win against Axelsen
In the Denmark Open men's singles second round, 19-year-old Frenchman Alex Lanier faced his much-anticipated opponent, Viktor Axelsen. Despite Lanier's strong form, the match didn't unfold as expected. Axelsen, a two-time Olympic champion, struggled with illness, seen vomiting during the game before withdrawing after trailing 19-21, 7-11.
Lanier expressed sympathy, saying, "I felt bad for him... it’s not the way I wanted to win." He advances to the quarter-finals, where he will face Singapore’s Loh Kean Yew.
