Pro-Net has announced that the Proton e.MAS 7 EV has already received over 2,500 bookings,marking a significant milestone for Proton’s first electric vehicle.
With this strong start, the e.MAS 7 could become one of Malaysia’s most popular EVs in 2025. For comparison, the BYD Atto 3, a popular EV launched locally two years ago, recorded 5,939 registrations in Malaysia as of November 2024.

The first 3,000 customers will enjoy a RM4,000 rebate, bringing the prices of the e.MAS 7 down to RM105,800 for the Prime variant and RM119,800 for the Premium variant (regular prices are RM109,800 and RM123,800, respectively). Bookings can be made at Proton e.MAS dealers or online through the Proton e.MAS app.

The Proton e.MAS 7 comes with a 6-year/unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000km warranty for the battery, motor, and motor controllers. Pro-Net has confirmed that the battery warranty includes severe degradation. If the battery’s state of health falls below 70%, it will be replaced, matching the warranty standards of Tesla and BYD.
The Proton e.MAS 7 has a single front-mounted motor producing 215 hp (160kW) and 320 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 175 km/h.
Both variants use Geely’s Aegis Short Blade LFP battery. The Prime model has a 49.52 kWh battery, offering a WLTP-rated range of 345 km, while the Premium version has a larger 60.22 kWh battery, providing up to 410 km of range.
For charging, both models have an onboard three-phase AC charger supporting up to 11 kW. For fast charging, the Prime variant supports up to 80 kW, and the Premium can handle up to 100 kW. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can go from 30% to 80% in about 20 minutes. Deliveries for the Proton e.MAS 7 are set to begin in early 2025.
