PDL to CDL Conversion Now Available Online via MyJPJ App

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that holders of a Probationary Driving Licence (PDL) can now convert it to a Competent Driving Licence (CDL) online via the MyJPJ mobile app. This new feature allows P licence holders to complete the process without needing to visit a JPJ office, making it more convenient and accessible.

To apply, users must first download or update the MyJPJ mobile app to the latest version and log in to their account. They then need to navigate to the "Permohonan CDL" (CDL application) section, select the "Tempoh Pembaharuan" (renewal period), and choose their preferred "Mod Bayaran" (payment method). Once the online payment is completed, the application will be processed, and users will receive a notification on their application status.

According to JPJ, this latest update will benefit 2,383,043 PDL holders, allowing them to apply for a CDL conversion anytime and anywhere using their smartphones. This initiative aims to streamline the process and enhance convenience for drivers across Malaysia.

The Road Transport Department of Malaysia aims to enhance the accessibility of Malaysian driving licences through digital solutions with this initiative. According to a statement from JPJ, this effort is part of its strategy to reduce congestion at service counters. The department also reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality and efficiency of its services for the public.
