In today's rapidly changing world, Rovski recognizes the importance of corporate sustainability, not only for the benefit of the planet, but also for long-term stability and growth. Rovski’s key sustainability efforts can be demonstrated through the following:
Firstly, we are gradually changing conventional lightbulbs to LED bulbs in our manufacturing plants. As one LED bulb, providing the same luminosity as one conventional bulb, emits 80% less greenhouse gases, the usage of LED bulbs will help reduce the carbon footprint due to the small amount of fossil fuels being burned to produce light.
Additionally, steel drums used for industrial packaging are reused as they offer a myriad of environmental sustainability benefits. This includes reducing waste, cutting back on the need for processing new containers, and decreasing emissions from landfills. As steel drums are classified as a sustainable industrial packaging material due to their highly durable, waterproof, and chemically resistant properties, reusing steel drums helps reduce the carbon footprint by a factor of three.
Moreover, we are taking a steps towards investing in clean, renewable, and sustainable energy systems through the installation of solar panels in our manufacturing plant. Solar energy is a natural energy source with zero carbon emissions, and at Rovski solar energy is used to generate electricity for our manufacturing processes. As our factory is in Malaysia, a country located in the equilateral region receiving an abundance of sunshine for an average of 6–8 hours a day, we believe that leveraging our modern technological advances and geographical location is necessary for environmentally sustainable practices.
In addition, wooden pallets used for the transportation of products are reused. This is because the manufacturing of wooden pallets contributes to high CO2 s due to the large amount of wood, energy, and transportation required in its production process. If the pallet is only used once, it disappears through recycling as biomass in the incinerator. Therefore, by reusing them, this helps extend their lifespan and reduce the carbon footprint.
