Perodua President and CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, shared that
Perodua Sales and PLMMSB have worked together for over 20 years, forming a strong partnership that has been beneficial for both sides. He added that this collaboration would continue to grow, offering even more value to Perodua’s customers.
He also mentioned that the
partnership with Gentari will enable Gentari to set up EV charging facilities at Perodua service centres. This is in preparation for Perodua’s upcoming battery electric vehicle (BEV) launch and
aims to support customers in switching to BEVs smoothly.
Additionally, the second MoU between Perodua Sales and Gentari, represented by Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd,
focuses on setting up charging stations at Perodua service centres. This initiative is designed to
make the transition to BEVs easier for Perodua customers.
Shah Yang Razalli, Deputy CEO of Gentari and CEO of Gentari Green Mobility, expressed his excitement about
Perodua’s plan to launch an affordable BEV by 2025. He highlighted that
Gentari is eager to work with Perodua to promote greener transportation in Malaysia.
“Our goal is to
improve charging accessibility and convenience, enhancing the experience for future Perodua BEV owners. This will boost customer satisfaction and loyalty,” he said The collaboration will
focus on key initiatives such as installing BEV chargers at Perodua service centres, especially those
near Petronas stations, providing BEV charging subscription plans and home charging options, and integrating these services with the Gentari Go platform.
