Comprehensive coverage of: Characteristics of Ionising Radiations, Radiation Quantities and Units, Sources of Ionising Radiations, Health Effects of Ionising Radiations, Comparison of Risks, Radiation Protection Principles and Radiation Monitoring.
This course mainly caters for RPO/RPS/RPC to gather necessary CEP points for their recertification by AELB. (max. CEP points may be used for certification is 15 per course). The course covers the followings topics: Lonising radiations, biological effects, radiation protection & monitoring, Atomic Energy Act and Regulations, Categorization and Security of Radioactive Sources, Applications of Ionising radiations and Safety, Radiation Safety and Emergency Procedures for Nuclear Gauges, Irradiating Apparatus and NORM/TENORM activities.
This course mainly caters for RPO/RPS/RPC to gather necessary CEP points for their recertification by AELB. RPO/RPS/RPC will find the course very useful in their daily practices. The course covers the followings topics: Lonising radiations, biological effects, radiation protection & monitoring, preparation of Radiation Protection Program, Emergency Plan & Security Plan, Management of Worker Certification, Management of AELB Class C and Class A licenses, Management of Changes Affecting AELB License, Manage AELB Approvals and Inspections.
Participants are encouraged to bring along their laptop, DigiCert login details and WiFi connection to have hands-on experience with AELB eLesen/eSPP system.
This course is intended for candidates who wish to take the AELB RPO Examination to qualify as RPO (Radiation Protection Officer) or PRS (Radiation Protection Supervisor). RPS may be assigned as RPO in the absence of RPO.
