Product Packaging
PRODUCT PACKAGING IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ATTRACT CUSTOMER!!!
Packaging and package labelling have several objectives namely for Physical protection, conveying information, Marketing, Safety, Convenience, Portion Control and for Branding.
Sometimes it is convenient to categorize packages by layer or function, primary, secondary, etc.
Primary packaging is the material that first envelops the product and stores it. This is usually the smallest unit of distribution or use and is the package that comes into direct contact with the content. Secondary packaging is outside the primary packaging, and can be used to prevent theft or group primary packages together.
Like the label, packaging is also important to attract the attention and interest of consumers to buy a product. It is also an important part of product and company branding. It helps the product to be recognized in the market, and identifies the product as part of a particular brand. Without good and attractive packaging, consumers will think that the product is not good and will not be interested in buying it. Sometimes consumers are attracted to buy a product just because of an attractive packaging.
