Oxy Cut
Oxy Cut, also known as oxy-fuel cutting or gas cutting, is a method of cutting metal by using a stream of oxygen to burn through the metal. The process involves using a cutting torch with a fuel gas such as acetylene, propane or natural gas and a high-purity oxygen stream to heat the metal to its ignition temperature. Once the metal is heated to the proper temperature, the oxygen stream is directed at the metal, causing it to rapidly oxidize and burn away.
