Honda Malaysia Appoints Narushi Yazaki as New Managing Director and CEO

Honda Malaysia (HMSB) has officially announced the appointment of Narushi Yazaki as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2025. Yazaki takes over from Hironobu Yoshimura, who has completed his three-year tenure in Malaysia and will be returning to Japan to assume a new role at Honda’s headquarters in Tokyo.

Yazaki brings with him more than 25 years of experience within the Honda global network. Over the course of his career, he has held various key leadership positions in multiple countries, including Japan, Thailand, and the United States. Prior to his new appointment in Malaysia, Yazaki was based at Honda’s Tokyo head office, where he was involved in corporate administration operations — a role that gave him strategic oversight of regional and global developments within the company.

In his official statement, Yazaki expressed his enthusiasm about joining Honda Malaysia. “It is truly an honour to lead Honda Malaysia, a company that plays a vital role in Honda’s presence in the Asia and Oceania region. This is a market known for its strong momentum and loyal customer base. I look forward to continuing the legacy built by those before me and working closely with the team to drive further growth and strengthen our position in the market,” he said.

Honda Malaysia acknowledged the significant contributions made by Yoshimura during his leadership. He was instrumental in helping the company maintain its 11-year streak as the top-selling non-national passenger vehicle brand in Malaysia. His steady leadership also guided the company through a challenging post-pandemic market environment, ensuring resilience and stability during uncertain times.

With this leadership transition, Honda Malaysia is poised to continue its upward trajectory, supported by Yazaki’s extensive international experience and commitment to customer satisfaction and innovation.
