- Swimming pools are a common feature of condominiums and residential bungalows. There are various types of swimming pools that exist, namely wading pools, infinity pools, lap pools, Olympic-size pools, Jacuzzis and more. In colder climates, swimming pools are placed indoors and are heated for year-round enjoyment.
- Mechanical pumps for swimming pools need to be designed with a turnover time per hour. Residential pools shall have 6 turnovers per hour. Meanwhile, municipal pools, schools and hotels shall have 2.5-3 turnovers per hour.
- Pumps and piping shall be adequately sized for these pools. Pumps shall be able to provide an adequate volume flow rate even when the filter resistance is maximum. Piping shall also be provided for backwashing pool filters and when emptying the pool.
