Kancil Driven from Klang to Koh Samui, Fuel Cost Only RM160!

A Malaysian man recently went viral for an extraordinary road trip—driving his Perodua Kancil from Klang, Malaysia, to Koh Samui, Thailand, covering a total distance of 2,420 km with an impressively low fuel cost of just RM160.

Shared via TikTok (@thalha8787), the driver documented his solo adventure, stating that he embarked on the journey in search of peace and tranquility. Unlike most Malaysians who only drive to Hatyai or Dannok, he took his legendary Kancil much further, all the way to the scenic island of Koh Samui.

Despite its small size and aging design, the Kancil proved its reliability, handling the long journey at speeds of up to 120 km/h. The driver expressed his love for long drives, saying: "Everyone has their own way of finding peace. Mine is driving my Kancil on long journeys at 120 km/h."

The driver’s complete travel route was as follows: Klang → Hatyai → Khao Lak → Koh Samui → Klang, covering a total distance of 2,420 km with a total fuel cost of RM160.

The video quickly gained attention, with many Malaysians praising his bravery and dedication to adventure. Many were also surprised at the fuel efficiency and endurance of the Perodua Kancil, a car that was once a common sight on Malaysian roads but is now mostly used for short-distance travel. Some commenters even compared this feat to the viral story of a Perodua Myvi making it all the way to China, proving that Malaysian compact cars are tougher than they seem!

This journey is yet another testament to the reliability and fuel efficiency of Malaysia’s beloved Perodua vehicles. Whether it’s the Myvi making it to China or the Kancil reaching Koh Samui, these small but mighty cars continue to surprise and impress Malaysians. Would you dare to take your compact car on such a long-distance journey?
